Benefits of Gypsum
Regular use of gypsum is essential to sustainability of most irrigated soils. Gypsum is a key ingredient for the maintenance of agriculture on many types of soils.
Soil Reports
Before applying product, Holloway recommends that you test your soil in order to ensure you have the best combination of amendments and nutrients to maximize every dollar you put into your soil. Reports should be no older than 6 mos.
Government Grants
Take advantage of various government programs to help you grow. For example small farms may qualify for federal grants through the National Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) and use the grants to purchase gypsum.
Controlling PH Levels
Before spending money on nutrients, make sure you have adjusted your pH to be optimal. Money spent on nutrients that the plant cannot uptake because of imbalanced soil chemistry is a bad investment. Start with pH, and let the soils work for you.
